Calculations

ASME B31.G and Modified B31.G use maximum length and depth (Level 1) for determining the strength of corroded pipe. Whereas RSTRENG is level 2, which is more accurate in the determination of assessing burst and maximum safe pressures, the strength of corroded pipe, safety factor (reciprocal of design factor exp. 0.72 or 1.39), and burst pressure.

Technical Toolboxes added Other Level 1 calculations at the request of our clients. However, if your facility is regulated by the US DOT 192 and 195, you are required to use the RSTRENG, ASME B31.G, or Modified B31.G calculations.
